Hey family!! Today I’m sharing two new 30 minute meal ideas with y’all! These are great because they look like they took a long time to prepare, but they only take around 30 minutes! Don’t forget to go check out Valerie’s video! 😁💕
Pie Day Video:
Maple Bacon Chicken recipe:
6-8 boneless chicken
seasoning of your choice, I used Kent Rollins Seasoning, linked here:
1 pound bacon, cooked to almost done, it will finish cooking in the oven
1 cup maple syrup
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
2 tsp garlic powder
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
8 oz shredded Colby Jack Cheese
Cook bacon until almost done in a large skillet. Remove from skillet and set aside. Cook chicken in bacon drippings searing both sides. About 1-2 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and place in a greased casserole dish. Add maple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, and garlic powder to skillet. Bring to a simmer and then turn down to low. Once the glaze has thickened a little, pour it over the chicken. Add shredded cheese and bacon to the top along with any glaze that was leftover. Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through. Serve with chopped green onions on top.
NOTE: Cracker Barrel also puts a sauce on top of theirs but I left that out because I totally forgot about it! LOL!! 🤣 It was still delicious! 😁💕
Oven Baked Pork Chops & Sweet Potatoes:
NOTE: This is where I got the inspiration for this recipe, but like I said in the video, I didn’t have what I needed so I changed it up. I’m sure this recipe is great too! 😁💕
This was for six large pork chops.
6 pork chops
3 large sweet potatoes
salt & pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
For the rub:
2 tsp salt
4 tsp pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika
3 tablespoons blackened seasoning
Preheat oven to 425. Cut and peel sweet potatoes. Place on a large baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. While potatoes are cooking rub the pork chops with olive oil and season with rub on both sides. Add to pan with sweet potatoes and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until pork chops are cooked through.
